Innaccurate things in movies that annoy you

Way too many movies set in the contemporary Deep South assume that everybody talks like they just stepped out of Gone with the Wind. Julia Roberts, for example, had the worst movie-character Southern accent ever in Steel Magnolias—and she's from Atlanta, for God's sake!

No kidding... I cringe when I hear her speak in that movie, but I still LOVE Steal Magnolias!

Baltimore's accent is a little southern. I say my "O"s like they do so I have had more than one person ask if I'm from Baltimore since I've lived here. I laugh then say a few more things until they hear the southern accent and realize their mistake. There are many accents here, though. Check out the Baltimore "Hon". It's priceless!
