I just watched the Dave and Monica Ponderosas, these people are so BORING!! In past seasons, I've found the Ponderosas fun to watch, seeing a different side of the contestants when out of the game, relating to each other as just plain folks, and forming friendships.
This season's ejectees just seem awful to me. They are still forming cliques, they are still talking trash about each other, Uggh. I can't stand them!
All I can say is I'm glad none of them are going to win the money! Here's to one of the nice people winning!! (I don't think russel's going to make it that far - if they've got any sense )

I agree!!
Finally, some not-blindsides last night. I really don't think the Foa Foas are suspicious of each other as Monica thinks she's made them. I think M/J/N are too strategically unsound to realize that they should vote off Russell.
If I were any of the Foa Foas, I'd actually be trying to take Shambo and one other Foa Foa that's NOT Russell to the finals. Actually, I would probably say the same for Brett as well. If he had any shot at all, he could attempt to go with Shambo and Russell and hope to make Russell out enough of a bad-guy that no one would vote for him - or hope the Galus vote for him just because. But, if Brett makes it much farther, it's not really his choice as to who to bring - unless he starts doing some hardcore, effective scrambling.

And GOODBYE MULLET!
I realize that they have much, much, much more footage to work with that we don't see during the episode, but how did they even manage to make it look like Russell was in trouble this week?
All my money is on Russell for the win. I don't see Natalie or Jaison turning on him now, and juries typically respect good game play above "being nice". Although most juries also let the game go once they get to the Ponderosa...
One final note, though, that could change my answer above - I read an interview with Monica, and she said that it seemed to her that Foa Foa was working as a group and it really wasn't just Russell that was calling all of the shots. I'm sure he could paint it differently to the jury, though.

For some reason, I had thought there were going to be two tribal councils last night. It seems crazy to go into the final episode with five people left!
I still don't have a favorite. And now that Shambo is gone, I don't have a least favorite. It's a shame we're just now getting to "meet" Brett; he seems like a really likable guy!
Looking forward to Sunday...

I know that a little while back, someone had wondered if Jeff knew about what was going on around camp, because he seemed to ask very specific questions at tribal council. I'm assuming he HAS to be in the know. Otherwise, why would he randomly ask Shambo about her hair at the reward challenge?
I definitely couldn't help but laugh when he asked her why she hadn't changed her hairstyle, and she replied with something along the lines of, "Why change perfection?"
And I nearly died when Russell was saying that she was probably hiding food in her mullett. LOL
I don't think I was too surprised to see Shambo go. However, I kind of wanted to have Brett leave to see how the Foa Foas would duke it out (and yes, I basically consider Shambo a Foa Foa). On the other hand, I kind of like Brett and think that it was smart of him to lay low for most of the game. On the other hand (yes, I have three hands), if he's in the finals, I think he'll have a VERY good chance of winning the whole thing, and it might not make the whole thing too exciting.
Let's face it... Brett hasn't done much the entire game.

See, I think it would be kindof exciting if Brett or Natalie were to win, because they've certainly edited the whole season to highlight Russell. Which is what makes me think that he doesn't make it to the finale or win. If he wins, I will be bored. I find it really frustrating that Jaison, Natalie, Mick and everyone else in this game just sits back and lets Russell make all the calls. Why would you let someone else decide your fate in this game? If you're Natalie or Jaison, and you believe that Russell will really take you to the end, what makes you think that you stand a chance of winning next to him? The jury doesn't know about everything he's been saying behind their backs - if he's there in the finale, I think he could win...except for maybe if Brett is there, since most of the Jury is Galu and even the Foa Foas I think could appreciate his strategy so far. As for Mick, I think he's nuts for not pairing up with Natalie, Brett and Shambo to kick off Russell this week. And I think Russell was foolish to kick off Shambo because I don't think anyone would vote for her to win a million. bucks.

Well, Mick didn't really have the chance to kick off Russell this week - Russell had the hidden immunity idol. I think the game will be different now that the HII can't come into play, and we might see a more sincere attempt to get rid of Russell.

I am completely for Natalie winning. She seemed to actually try to strategize, she helped around camp, she has definitely surprised me, and she no longer comes off as the "clueless southern girl."
Brett hasn't been highlighted... at all. I just don't see what he's done to earn the win besides sit back and let everyone else make the decisions. I wouldn't vote for him simply because he's been riding everyone else's coattails the entire game, and he hasn't sweated one bit.

I don't think that Jaison has been "sitting back" whatsoever. I think he's just as smart as Russell, if not, smarter. The only mistake he made was telling members of the other team how much money Russell makes, because obviously that would get back to him. I think Russell would have tried to vote Jaison out after that, IF he didn't need him at that point.
Mick confuses me. Sometimes he seems cool and collected, and other times he seems frantic and panicked. I'm not sure of the role he's played in all of the strategy and scheming.

First, I don't know that they think they'll win against Russell. If I could have worked with Russell and moved up this far in the game, then I definitely would have... but I wouldn't let it go much further than this.
Secondly, voting for Russell this week would have been stupid knowing that he could easily have played the immunity idol. There would have been too much scrambling to figure out a Plan B if Russell used it. Voting out Shambo was the easy way out. I would have done the same thing.
And as I've said before, I don't see Russell as much of a threat. His strategy really hasn't been THAT amazing. And it's not as though he's winning every immunity challenge. I think that if the tables were turned, and Foa Foa had gone into the merge with twice as many people as Galu, Russell probably would have been gone a long time ago. I think everyone else used him, just as much as he used them in order to get as far as they have.

I was definitely confused by this. However, Russell might have thrown himself under the bus by voting for someone else. Shambo was one of those "oh well, she's gone" kind of votes, so there is generally still harmony among the group. He might have seen it as an easier way to manipulate people going into the final 5.

Weird, it started on time here. Must be a geographical thing. Was there a football game on earlier there? There wasn't here.

He was CRYING on the reunion show! Is it really THAT serious?
Kinda makes me think that he doesn't make it very far next season. Of course, I said the same thing about Amanda last time, because she didn't look emaciated, and look what happened...
Is it me, or did Natalie put on A LOT of weight? Not saying I blame her, but I think the difference was shocking. She was a tiny girl going in, too, so it wasn't just the starvation there - she's definitely bigger now than before she started playing.
Also, did anyone else notice how archaic the footage of Rich Hatch winning looked in comparison to today's Survivor?
