Have you guys heard of any of the "cyber-sororities" on facebook groups?
I got invited to be a member of Alpha Delta Theta sorority.
http://www.facebook.com/#/group.php?...4314986&ref=nf
does anyone else think that's taking the game a little too far?

Um... yeah. Though the badge is very pretty

WOW-that is freakin' lame....Let me say why. That is an ACTUAL Alpha Delta Theta badge. There was once an actual sorority called Alpha Delta Theta. That picture is from www.fratpin.com where you can buy used badges from many different organizations. It is a cool site. Anyway, Alpha Delta Theta was absorbed by Phi Mu-back in the day. Essentially, it is like joining Phi Mu if you join that group. Not that I am against that (obvious-I'm a Phi Mu), but it is almost like joining a "cyber" sorority of one of the sororities that Delta Zeta absorbed. It would be one thing if they knew what the hell they were talking about on that, but for them to call it a "cyber" sorority is stupid. It was once an ACTUAL sorority-not this stupid "cyber" crap.
Sorry-that was my soap box. Proceed to discuss the game.
I enjoy the game, but there are some things that bug me. Have you seen some of the horrendous things people will post on other people's white boards. It is atrocious!

i was wondering what that badge was but i assumed it was a photo edited picture of another badge, not an actual one. that makes it even worse

Ummm cyber sororities? Lame.
I really think this game is starting to suck...it comes out with new BP glam every week, yet here I am trying to keep my money in the bank b/c I have sooo freakin much of it! We should be able to buy SOMETHING with our SL cash, there is noo way I will ever pay for BP. (At least get rid of that "bank excess" rule...whats the point?)
Also, I am level 124 and I just finished the last of the platinum events..no new events until level 140?? what am I supposed to do now? ugh.

I'm in the same boat. My main character is level 123 and I've earned platinum mastery in all the events open to me. Turns out there are only 39, and you can't get the "Platinum Expertise Expert" award until you get platinum in 40 events. So now what? I twiddle my thumbs and plod my way through 17 more levels at ~4000 IP per level?
I have a character that I started as my "vacation mini" - I'd put her on when I knew I'd be offline for the weekend. She is turning out to be a pretty good organizer. Hell, I may start using her as my main and turn my level 123 into my vacation cover.

I admit it. It's fun but I agree that some people take it way too seriously.

Yea, that is lame.
When I started playing (I think it was late last year?) the BP glam was only 9 BPs or so.... yea the stats weren't as good, but at least they were new outfits.
Now all the new stuff is at least 19 BPs which is ridiculous. AND you need BPs to do certain events.
I have a feeling the Christmas Gift events are going to require BPs too...

I refuse to buy bonus points. I save them if I can but I am at 107 now with three events only to work on completing because I've platinum mastered everything else so earning BP's are slow in coming.
As far as some taking it too seriously---one of the sisters in my house was complaining earlier this week about being dropped from someone's house because she refused to drop a slapper from her house. Her reasoning was that if it was allowed in the game, then it wasnt breaking any rules so she wasnt going to penalize people for it. The person that dropped her proceeded to cuss her out too. Some people really need to get a life on SL.
