I lived in an apartment a few years ago, and I locked myself out. So, I went downstairs to the front desk, who gave me a spare key. I got back in my apartment and I went to go check on my laundry (a few doors down), and sure enough, I locked the spare key in as well! I would have had to get a locksmith if I wasn't able to get my boyfriend at the time over and use the key I gave him. What an idiot I was.
