She was not in a chapter at Berkley. I checked the UCLA chapter websites that had members' names listed and she was not a member in the three that I looked at. One was Theta, and I can't remember the other two.
I'm sure that being a "Real Kid" didn't hurt her chances any, and if I remember reading Jeanna's blog, Kara got straight As.

So, I love that Lynne acted super surprised when Alexa asked for a beer at Gretchen's tanning party, as if she never lets her drink. I'm sure Alexa didn't decide to ask to drink for the first time EVER that day.
And I'm sure that a nose job is the perfect answer to all of Raquel's self-esteem issues too.

She is definitely a Kappa at UCLA.
ETA: KSUViolet is right, UCLA has an upperclassman quota. This is new (as in the last two recruitments only) so sophomores/juniors now regularly receive bids to all chapters. In the past it was extremely difficult for sophomores to receive a bid from SOME chapters (not all), but now the playing field is leveled. Kara was not in a Berkeley sorority.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Lo from Laguna Beach/The Hills also a Kappa at UCLA?

That's the best part of really all of the Housewives shows.

The women are so expressionless when they are cursing each other out and stuff. I laughed at Andy Cohen when he commented on the woman's expressionless face. LOL.

My thoughts from the episode:
Tamra: She's still a bitch. Being divorced didn't change her. I don't buy her bullshit that she's moving forward & trying to be friends with everyone again. Once a bitch, always a bitch. Also, for someone who's so excited about her newfound freedom, it's funny to see her holed up in her rick boyfriends house & using it to maintain her status. Also, the end scene of a future episode where she shoves Jeana should be interesting. Tamra has absolutely NO class (and bad straw like hair).
Vicki - Her skin looks like hell. Yikes! Still don't like her. Yes, we know there's a certain cache about owning a Coach, Guchi or Prada purse but that's no reason to knock Gretchen's line. I don't think Gretchen is out to compete with those companies. She's trying to find her own niche. Stop being a snotty bitch.
Alexis - Cry me a freakin river over having no nanny 3 days a week. Whatever. Airhead.
Gretchen - Drunk. Needs to cool it with the drinking though I did have a great laugh when she admitted she was calling Tamra a bitch.
No opinion so far on the new additions since they weren't featured much.

I watched it, too. I think Gretchen is either finally coming into her own, and is NOT taking any crap from Tamra, or she's just trying to keep stuff up for the sake of the cameras. I just don't think any of these women are above creating drama for the sake of making a good season to watch. And, while Tamra may have a new beau, I can't help thinking she's going to try to swim in the lady pond with her friend/trainer just to make eyebrows raise (which, of course, hers cannot ... LOLOLOL!!).

From the looks of things, I'm the only one who finds this season a little interesting. Since no one else will bite, I gotta give my shpeel about the latest episode ...
For starters, I think Tamra is a real biotch! I can't believe she allowed the cameras to film her love session with her new beau. While I was a bit taken at first by how steamy the scene was, it soon dawned on me that this woman was merely trying to make certain that her ex-husband got an eye full, too. What she forgets is that she has children, and they do NOT need to see "mommie" in that light with some other man who is NOT their father. The whole thing was rather tasteless, ... (although the scene was still quite steamy ).
And, though I hate to admit it, I really like Gretchen a lot more this season. I love how UN-excited she is about the whole marriage thing. I think she is well aware that Slade will only use her up 'til he's found the next thrill. Slade is the kind of man who tries to make women think he is the man of their dreams, and then he craps all over them when he's bored, but Gretchen is letting him know that she doesn't get all gung-ho about a marriage proposal ... ESPECIALLY now that she's a career woman now. And I LOL everytime she says Slade gets paid in the bedroom, because his job is to serve as "my BITCH!" LMAO!! Kudos to her.
