Am I the only person who thinks that Taylor Swift can't sing worth a damn? I'm watching the CMAs, and I'm dreading hearing a SECOND Taylor Swift song later in the show. She sounds fine on the radio, but they must spend forever editing her stuff in studio - on stage, every other note is off key. Props for writing her own songs and sometimes playing with guitar, but I'd be cool with never hearing her sing live again, thanks.

I don't know. I never heard her sing live, but just hearing her video for "You belong with me" it seems kind of strained and unpleasant.

She's performed on practically every music award show over the past couple of years, New Year's Rockin' Eve, and other shows, and I've never heard her perform at a level I would expect of someone in music, especially country music, which is filled with really strong voices. I don't get it. I much prefer someone like Miranda Lambert.

I don't know crap about country music, but from what I know I know you are right about how powerful some of the singers are. Though I don't understand why she is so big. She has a pleasant enough voice, but it sounds untrained to me.

She's the Britney Spears of country music. She does not have a strong voice at all, and I'm still surprised (like Britney) how she became famous at all with such a mediocre voice. Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, even Kelli Pickler have much MUCH stronger voices than Taylor.

Well because of the MTV music awards and Kanye's stunt, she's like the "county" princess.

She was the "country" princess before that happened. I don't think she really deserved female vocalist last night, because she ISN'T as polished as some of the others; however, she puts on an absolutely amazing concert and truly is a performer. I have seen her in concert, as well as Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney (numerous times) and she is definitely one of the best. I can understand the EOTY award.
