Why, you have to be American? Does TAR work out some sort of deal with the various countries for visas?

The problem wasn't that the task was physically unfair. The poker girls had choices to make. The chose poorly. That's why they're out of the race.
Did they forget to read the memo that life is not fair and neither are reality show challenges? Its not fair that the very first team eliminated never left Los Angeles, it is not fair Mika was afraid of water, it is not fair that the girl last year could not swim, it was not fair that the Chinese couple last year knew how to speak and read Chinese, it is not fair that Zev lost his passport, it is not fair some players are too stupid to know how to read a clue, it is not fair that people get hurt, etc. They knew that there were going to be challenges that were hard for them. Poker can't get them through all of life by itself.

You do have to be American -- I've heard that it's to ensure that no team has an advantage in clearing customs. Apparently some of the crew members are Swiss and can get through the line quicker than the Americans. I'm sure there are other reasons too.

My husband and I have applied for the show before and made it through the first round, but they then told us that they liked us, but we'd have a better shot at getting cast if one of us went on with another, more interesting partner (since there are so many young white couples). I am too afraid of heights to do the show anyway (was really just doing it for him), so he and his dad are going to reapply and see if they get cast.

For some reason, when they showed that last challenge with the hay, I knew it would be a non-elimination leg. And I'm definitely happy that it was!

I'm glad that Dan realized he was being a jerk. I think I would have strangled him if I had to listen to him yell at me like that for hours on end.

And Ken.. er, I mean Cheyne.. I'm glad you were proud of your girlfriend, but you just stood there when she asked who wanted to do it. Man up! Did you not want to mess up your pretty hair? Or were your rock-hard, flesh-toned tighty whities so far up your a** that you didn't realize it would be the nice thing to do to step up and at least offer to do the difficult challenge for your girlfriend, Cries-a-lot Barbie?

Please tell me that either this team, or Brian and Erica go home next week!

I think he was a bit hacked because of the way she acted after the previous task -- he said something about "you're in charge today."

But at least after the Tivoli ride, we know now why his hair always stands straight up.

Unless something drastic happens, I think the final 3 teams will (and should be), Globetrotters, Sam & Dan, and Malibu Ken and Barbie. K&B may get on the nerves some, but like the Globetrotters and S&D, they've been consistently good racers.

The same can't be said of the other two teams. I'm so tired of Brian and Ericka, and I don't see Dad and Son (why can't I remember their names?) going the distance -- especially if Son can't figure out what a candelabra is.

ETA: I mean to mention how much Meghan cracked me up psyching out Ken when she found the flag. Between that and Sam's "Race you to the pit stop" response to Dan's apologies -- loved it.

I agree that Ken and Barbie will probably be in the final 3. But you never really know.

And seriously... what are the dad and son's names?? I honestly can say that I've ever paid attention to that while watching.

And my guess is that the candelabra won't trip him up as much as they're showing. If I had to guess, they won't be eliminated in the next leg of the race. But we'll see.

ETA: I also enjoyed Meghan and Sam's comments as they finished!

One of them is Matt. I only remember because that is my son's name.

Go Globetrotters!!

I don't get what the brothers have against them other than the fact that they are competition. But, it looks like there might be issues next week from the previews.

Watching this now. What is the point of having a lead if there is only one boat to where you are going?

Not much point in having a lead (other than the prize you won for coming in first). But on the other hand, how boring would the show become if one or two teams could get basically a day ahead of everyone else. Equalizers might be aggravating at times, but the show would quickly lose excitement without them.

I figured it'd be Gary and Matt going -- now that I finally learned their names.
