Really, I don't think any of it was hazing- all the info is important to me, and I'm glad I know it.

I am not sure if the test I took way back when was standardized by nationals but all of us passed, it wasn't that difficult. We actually had a test evey week during the pledge period then the "big one" at the end. But then again our pledge period was the entire first semester and we were not initiated until the next semester in late January (providing you made grades of course).
I guess i just don't understand how a test is considered hazing?? What is this world coming to?

Lawd LOL at this whole freakin thread.
I peeped the LJ pages ago and knew this thread was going downhill fast.
And now we'll NEVER know if she passed her test.

Interesting word pick - with this particular poster, I think I would have gone the other way...because you can't spell that word without those three letters.

This discussion prompted me to google my username, too. I didn't look too closely at all the other SydneyKs out there, but I think it's pretty clear that none of those ladies is me. Well, it's clear to me, at least. (Then again, I knew beforehand that this was the only place I use SydneyK, so I had a bit of a head start. Plus, I know that I don't suffer from any kind of multi-personality disorders, so I'm confident I'm the only me out there.)
Sen, thanks for the pic of the guy - truly made me chuckle. That would be a good pic for lolcat-type captions. I'm sure the folks of GC can come up with some real treasures.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but can someone please explain the point of Live Journal? Back in caveman times, if you kept a journal it was private and you wouldn't even let your roomate read it, let alone put it out on the interwebz for anyone to read.

You are correct on Kappa, as far as I know. They are very strict with anything that could be considered hazing.
I do know of a chapter on my campus where they take a NM test but the actives take it with them, so it's technically not hazing.
EDIT: I just realized there were about 12 pages of posts after what I quoted. Oops!

Apparently there's a seller on eBay using the same username as mine... at least she's getting good reviews!
