Okay, now I have to go look for this!

ETA: I just watched it about 10 times and I can't tell for sure. I heard the "skee-wee" and her right arm went up. I dunno. I'm not used to seeing it or hearing it done. Check it out for yourself. (it's at exactly 1:00 minute)

ditto. it was a high-pitched shriek, nothing more
i guess i'm in the minority, i like Sundai. not that i believe she'll win, though.
i'm also pulling for Laura, the one from KY i think, and the one from CO w/the long hair. she's a little odd but i like her. but then, i like Jennifer, i think she's the one from Philly.
i guess i'm not as invested in this show since i'm not keeping up w/the names.

I watched that bit about 5 times and didn't catch it at all... *shrug*

I agree that the photo shoot was kind of lame. And Tyra shooting them... again? "For the FIRST TIME in top Model HISTORY!" (cue dramatic music)? Ehh. It seems like she's trying to sell herself as a photographer now, in addition to model, talk show host, reality tv host and (failed) singer. It looks to me like they get everything all set up and then just hand her the camera, which isn't quite the same as actually being a real photographer. Framing a shot and hitting the button is pretty simple. Also, she is the only photographer who changes wardrobes multiple times on multiple girls because she's "just not feeling it". Control freak? And if I hear her try to shove "H2T" and "smize" into another minute of air time, I'm going to scream.

Sorry, but she is just really bugging me this season. At this point she's the weird, annoying sideshow that gets in the way of what I actually want to see - the models themselves.

I'm loving Laura, Nicole and Jen, in that order. Erin is being a brat. If Hawaii is soooo awful (what with the hot sun and the scratchy sheets), I'd be happy to take your place, sweetie. I don't know how much of that is due to selective editing, but she came off very childish. Everybody blames it on her being 18, but Sundai is 18, too, and she manages to hold it together.

Oh, I also thought it was funny how Erin and whats-her-face-mathematician were holding hands in the bottom two after dumping on each other the entire show. I don't like either of them.

I think that she photographed another shoot to save money. They are cutting a lot of corners this season. Though Hawaii isn't cheap, it's cheaper than hauling a whole mess of people to some other country, getting permits and translators, etc.

I also thought that the two of them in the bottom two were holding hands. The episodes had been edited to show the "cat fight" brewing between them. Then again, why did Erin choose Brittany to go on the helicopter ride? ITA that Erin is a brat - the other girls would have killed for that ride.

Lastly, I really am rooting for Nicole, but you don't have to win ANTM to have success. Honestly, I think that some of those who haven't won in past seasons may have more success than the actual winners. I enjoy Nicole because she brings intent, emotion and action to her shoots. This last photo, she looked like she was climbing out of the sugar cane fields, instead of just standing there looking pretty.

I DVR the episodes and watch them by skipping. I watch the challenge (if it's not ridiculous), the photo shoot, and the judging...that's it...no house drama, almost no Tyra antics. I do really love the "Top Models in Action" sequence when they update on a previous contestant.

Me too! I'm really glad they started doing that - it's nice to see past contestants getting work.

Did anyone else notice that it was Brittany who reached out her hand first, mouthed something to Erin, and Erin hesitated like she didn't want to take it?

Sundai

I had a feeling this would happen. During the Samurai shoot, Nigel pointed out that she did the exact same thing with her legs in all 3 of her photos and told her to get some variety. During this shoot, she did it again. and I figured he would say something, but he didn't (on air anyway).
