Time and manpower limits

In this case we have a time and manpower shortage. With ten Associates and food drive coming up 3 weeks post colonization, we need to leverage what we can to maximize our NAFD results; there is only so much labor and effort available. We came up with a graphic from Denver that I believe is being used. The barrels with letters are a great idea for the dorms - football games are off limits - and I suspect that the guys are scampering about trying to do this.

No offense or anything, I know that NAFD is our national philanthropy and it is important and all, but with 10 AMs shouldn't you all be focusing more on recruitment. You don't even have enough members to makeup a high zeta. Unless you are all planning to use NAFD a rush event, then I can see spending the time and effort on it.

John, I guess my question would be is there a feeling of recruitment in doing this? Have they found enough people who would be interested in doing this for charity sake and join? Shame that they cannot do it at games. Would worry about leaving canned goods at dorms unless may the girls dorms and they could get B F to help chip in. How about any sororities helping?

Hard to say what they are going to be doing - I'm 70 miles away in Sacramento. Going to have a chat with the Alpha on Thursday for a "howgozit" check

Are the ELC's still there? Shouldn't they be helping out with ideas and contacts? I thought Lambda Chi was changing its expansion program by opening less chapters each semester so the ELC's could spend more time focusing on each colony. Lately chapters seem to be opening up with less than 20 members.

My interest group can tell you right out, that the elc's did a terrible job at whitewater, they came in the fall of 2008, they were here from the beginning of september to about the end of september. The first bid they gave was right before school started, the second one wasnt given out until a week after rush, there were three more bids handed out during that final week they were here. My interest group is now at 13. So, is the elc's really helping out, I think not. So when I read that the group over at Berkely only has 10 guys, I was not surprised. Doing the NAFD might not be the best recruitment tool, but it is a good way to get the guys who would be serious to join, but they also want to see they can have fun. I would have the guys to a rush event that inolves bowling, pool, etc.
