Unpopular as my opinion is, I have a an almost personal feed on this. Firstly, in my humble eyes, the good minister earned being banned. As a teen, I wonder why he visited my parents country, ruled by the military's iron fist. People were starving, and anyone who spoke up was imprisoned and/or killed. The good minister was visiting, and I couldn't believe his comments. He seemed to infer that sometimes dictatorships were useful. In his words, even Moses was a dictator. He went on to praise the work of the sychophants in power.
I later found out the reason for the minister's support: there were roughly one million reasons. Since then, it has been extremely hard to dredge up some respect for man who turned his back on an opportunity to have changes made for the less fortunate.

I think worse things than banning him can happen.
