After months of not logging onto GC, I confess I still have not picked up this book.
However, I hear about it on an online radio show and I will be purchasing it on amazon.com when I make my next book order.

I also confess that I'm still totally single but I've made some positive changes in my life (being obedient to the Lord, working in ministries in the church, being a really active member of my new chapter, working out regularly and studying my bible).

I confess that lil sunshine was correct and I am now focusing on pleasing the Lord and walking in his Will right now.

I miscalculated at a restaurant a few weeks ago and accidentally stiffed my waitress, who was excellent. I'm going to go back there at some point, request her and tip her double to make up for it though.

I still don't have my license at 18 because I never learned to drive a stick.

My major (business admin) is really broad and I have no idea whatsoever who I want to work for or in what capacity once I graduate. Hopefully that'll sort itself out in four years' time.

On a similar note, I'm kind of hoping my fraternal connections will help me get my foot in the door with a big company once I graduate.

I would just like to point out that as of now, you don't have any fraternity connections, and there is the real possibility you might not get a bid.

Dearest cutielocks08:

1) Don't worry about not having the book, but be sure you're open to receiving the message when you DO get it.

2) Remember that walking in faith with the Lord is a daily task. You may experience obstacles, but know that He will NOT let you fall by the wayside with the devil and/or its cohorts.

3) I'm happy that you've chosen to use your single status to make positive changes. Continue on that path and maintain as positive an attitude as you can; you won't regret it.

Walking by faith and trusting completely is not easy, especially when my younger brothers, cousins and friends are all getting married and having kids. I'm consciously choosing to focus on the benefits of being single and childless like having time to work out, rest or do what I want on my own time.

I totally understand how you feel, and knowing that this journey won't be an easy one- mainly due to outside influences- is very important. Also, with the family members and friends who are getting married and having children, it's easy to feel some type of way, but know that God always has your best interest at heart and will bless you abundantly when he feels your time has come. We as human beings are given one day at a time for a reason: to move closer to accomplishing goals, to allow God to work on the things within ourselves that won't be fixed overnight, to have the opportunity to get to know ourselves more intimately so that we may be able to share it with someone else, etc. Every day won't be the same, but it can be very rewarding.
