I have never regretted my decision, but that doesnt mean that sometimes when things get hard that I dont have a "what if" moment from time to time.

I think enjoying membership in a sorority both as a collegian and alumnae member is mostly about effort. How much effort are you willing/currently putting in to make the most out of your experience? I personally put in a lot of time as a collegian and currently put a lot more time in as an alumnae member (and I am not a recent graduate). Therefore I got/get a lot out of my experiences. Both have their own set of trials/frustrations/bumps in the road. How you deal with those trials/frustrations is your own choice. Are you willing to make the most of it to the best of your ability? Are you willing to take notes and learn from the experiences both positive & negative? Are you going to throw your hands up and quit when the going gets tough or stick it out and be stronger?

^One of the best pieces advice I've ever heard was "You Gotta Wanna". If you want something badly enough to work hard at it, or change something about yourself or attitude, you should be able to receive it.

I sometimes wonder what/where/how my life would have been different if I'd put a different group first, but that doesn't mean I'm not glad where I ended up. I don't think I would have been able to be me. Some girls from my chapter are STILL regretting they joined us (and it takes about 2.5 seconds to figure it out on Facebook, let me tell you). I think that they think if they would have been in a group with more "prestige" their lives would have turned out differently. Maybe yes, but they also might not have the friends that they do.

There was a girl during our active years who hung out all the time with another group. It was because there were people in the sorority who didn't approve of her and weren't shy about it. Now, it's all water under the bridge.

I know this isn't really what you asked, but in a nutshell no, you're not alone at all.
