I don't know about Purdue, but alot has been said about IU here on GC and how competitive it is. They have deferred recruitment in January. The school does not use the standard quota. Instead, every chapter takes as many girls as they have room for in their chapter houses. As a result, each chapter only takes a certain number. This makes for a VERY competitive environment.
