Since there's no riding/equestrian, go swimming!

Wow, what a day! So sorry for the delay, I’ve been so tired and busy with rush, classes and such. I’m going to post both rounds of open house right now, then house tours (which was this afternoon) tomorrow morning! (Wow, reading that over I just realized how much of a tongue twister that is, sorry!)
I was so excited/nervous for Open House! I couldn't wait for our first party!
Soccer - I had a good time here, but not anything to write home about. I only talked to one active, which was a little disappointing. She was nice, but we never got past the awkward getting to know you questions. I would have liked to see more of these girls.
Football - I had a very good time here! I was paired with an active that I had a lot in common with. We got to know each other so fast. I talked to another active that was okay, but I didn’t really click with. Overall, I really liked this house.
Volleyball - I went in here having heard many stereotypes about the Volleyballs, but I tried to ignore them. The conversation was good here, but for some reason something felt off. I’m not sure what, but I just didn’t feel at home here.
Hockey- I knew absolutely nothing about this sorority going in. I was paired with an active who was obviously very shy. She talked very quietly which made it very hard to have an easy conversation since the room was so loud. I would like to give the hockeys another chance though.
Swimming- I was paired with an active who was supermodel gorgeous. She seemed really friendly, but we never really got past the getting to know you questions. There were a lot of awkward pauses. I was bumped to another active who was very outgoing and informative. But I wasn’t sure if she was someone I could call “sister”. I had mixed feelings when leaving.
Golf – Here I talked to an active who surprisingly, was from my same hometown! She was very nice and we obviously had a lot to talk about. I think I connected more with her than anyone else during first rounds. I could totally picture myself here. When it came time to leave, the girl from my hometown waved to me from across the room. I left overjoyed!
Tennis- My legacy chapter. I wanted to like them so badly. I ended up loving it. Conversation was so easy and I could easily picture myself there. My mom was happy to hear this when I called her.
Basketball– Unfortunately, Basketball was a popular tent talk topic. I did my best to ignore it. I was paired with an active here who seemed nice at first. But once we got talking, she started bringing up the 3 B’s and some things that made me uncomfortable there. I wasn’t sure if I’d want to go back there again.
Baseball - I had a very good time here! The conversation here was so easy and natural, I felt like I could fit in so well. Their sisterhood seemed to be one of the strongest as well; I could only hope to be a part of something that great!
Gymnastics- This was the last house of the night, and I was really tired! Unfortunately, I thought that might have affected my chances here. The girls I talked to were all so sweet and genuine and I had an awesome time here, but for some reason I didn’t think I’d be asked back.
For house tours, we could visit a maximum of 8 chapters. So we had to choose two to “drop”. Even though I had a good time at every chapter, I decided to “drop”:
Basketball
Volleyball
Whew, I’m so tired! Sorry its such a short update. I will post house tours tomorrow morning I promise! Wish me luck for Video round tomorrow!

Video Day
Hey guys, here’s video day! I have been having so much fun! I have had such a good time at every house! I wasn’t as nervous as I was for House tours invites, but still nervous none the less. My invite list looked like this:
Tennis
Gymnastics
Football
I was a bit upset to not see Baseball on my list; I eventually got over it though. Three invites wasn’t so bad! There was actually a few girls I know of who dropped out today. I hope they do eventually find a home.
Tennis - I went here hoping it would be better than House Tours, where I hadn't really felt good about them. As I watched their video, I could tell they had a really strong sisterhood, something I wanted. I got a little teary eyed; especially think about my mom and grandma. I could be their sister! I left with a renewed feeling of hope in Tennis!
Gymnastics - I was excited to go back here! I had a really good time with them the last round. Their video was really touching … and funny! It really made a difference for me to see how much fun they had together, I wanted to be a part of something like that! The girl I talked to yesterday came and said hi and we talked a little again. I just feel so at home there!
Football – After a not so great time there yesterday, I really hoped I would like them today. I had an okay time. There video was good, but in my opinion it wasn’t as good as the others. I know deep down that Football isn’t the place for me.
I can’t believe how fast Rush has gone! Tomorrow is prefs! I’m in shock. Anyways, for prefs we can visit a maximum of two chapters. My decision was easy as to whom to “drop”:
Football
Wish me luck for prefs! Pref Ceremonies and bid night are all in the same day so you may not get an update until Monday and I’m really sorry about that. I will try my hardest though!
