I think a lot of groups do it, not just UGA chapters. If you have a formal ceremony on that day, it might be the traditional ritual dress.

Everyone on our campus does it, too! I think it looks very pretty... though trying to dig up a white dress in January can be a challenge.

tradition for New Members to wear white dresses at UGA. And there's no way to run to the houses the way the campus is set up. I personally would consider that hazing.

Hazing-- you mean the distance from the student center or the fact they would have to run by all the fraternity houses?

I was mainly thinking distance, steep inclines, and traffic, but yes, there is certainly a bevy of frat guys one would have to pass, too!

Oh, come on, it's not that far...we trekked that hill drunk on football Saturdays all the time.
