This is the first time I have ever heard of a Panhellenic giving Chapters enough Quota Additions to reach Total. Though perhaps in the past there weren't enough PNMs able to do this. Regardless, I think it was phenomenal!!! These PNMs wanted to go Greek and were willing to accept bids. Why make them or the Chapters wait until after Bid Day to do this officially through COB? Then those girls would miss being part of the excitement of Bid Day.
Kudos to Alabama Panhellenic!!!

Reason: Mispoke and said snap bidding instead of quota additions

in Gamma Phi's and probably some other chapter's case, they were allowed to bid OVER total. Gamma Phi and all chapters now has more than 200 members...more than 300 I might imagine in some cases.

I'm pretty sure my school always did this. This is why I always confuse snap bidding and open bidding. It seems the logical thing to do for the girls and the sororities. I mean if it doesn't match once, it's not going to match no matter how hard you stare at it.

I'm not disagreeing with your conclusion but I read this differently. I read it to mean that since they placed everyone, all the groups made quota and exceeded total. And that's what should be the outcome with RFM if there were enough women to make it mathmatically possible. Hope that makes sense!

Yes - I do not believe these women were "snap bids to total", but rather quota additions. There is no longer the 5% rule for quota additions so the RFM specialist will place as many women as possible as long as they maximized their options and the chapters also did not under invite or otherwise not follow their recommended carry figure.

This is correct. From what I've heard, no chapters had to make any snap bids.
