Every Panhellenic I know of accepts late registrations. Tell her to give it a try. Couldn't hurt.

I didn't attend A&M, but a school with a large rush which had the same type of deadline. It was my understanding that this was to enable Panhellenic to get the packets of info on each girl to the chapters and to just generally get everything organized in well enough time.

Mom - definitely call A&M's Panhellenic office, because they just might make an exception, especially if you let them know she lined up recs & this wasn't a last minute decision. She was just out of town and missed the deadline.

I hope that your daughter was able to register for recruitment. As an alum of A&M, I think that she should go ahead and go through formal recruitment instead of just waiting for COB opportunities. This will giver her an opportunity to learn more about all the chapters at A&M. However, I think that if she maximizes her opportunies she will find a good fit at a chapter on campus. A&M has a good greek system, and all the chapters on campus are great.
