I only wanted to give her advice because I'm the same major, and I know where she's coming from.
If you are not a member of a sorority, it's inappropriate for you to give advice about becoming a member of a sorority. That'd be like me telling you how to become a pharmacist and expecting you to weigh my advice as heavily as someone who is a pharmacist.
