I'm 19,am i too old for Sorority RUSH ?

Hi,
Currently i'm 19, and a freshman at USC (Southern Calif. not Southern Carolina). I was graduated from HS at 17,then i worked full time for 2 years to pay college fee on my own.
Am i too old for rush ?
Is recs really important at USC ?

You're a freshman, that's what counts. Probably is better the way you're doing it since you graduated young from HS.

You need recs at USC.

I was 19 when I rushed (not in CA, but in the south). Shouldn't be a big deal, esp if you're a freshman.

I think grammar might be a bigger problem than age.

Go for it! See if you can contact friends from hs or your area who go there and see what they recommend.

I am 20. I have also worked for the past couple of years. I am going to Elon to reinvent myself and get away from my family. I can't wait!

I have been researching sororities at Elon and they all look great! I can't wait!

Not at all, you're a freshman so you'll be on the same college level as the other girls. I pledged at 19 as a sophomore

absolutely not girl! i rushed when i was a 19yr old junior after transfering from a two year school. 19 is certainly not too old and you will be so glad you did!
