If they feel that you'll be an asset, you'll be surprised how much they will help you!

And don't worry! My mother and sister-in-law gave me very basic information because I was completely DUMB to the whole process (I thought that "alumni members" joined through undergraduate chapters, for example) and they answered a few specific and focused questions for me.
Many aspirants on GC would be surprised to learn that they don't even NEED most of the information they're trying to access (and will never obtain) by coming to online forums.

Exactly! Aspirants will find out all they need to know on the national websites. If/when extended membership, they will find out a lot of information during their process that they need to know but will probably forget over the years. One only retains the most fundamental information anyway; anything else is just fluff.

I have to say as an aspiriant, you are now on my "Additional Hero's" list!
You thought, used your resources, and stopped to realize that there are answers that you will and will not get from members. You also took the TIME to figure things out for yourself and for this, You have the "Additional Hero" award of the day!
