I had to avoid making too-saucy comments on a (divorced) college friend's page, because his DAUGHTER is on his friends list. Honestly, I think this situation has far more embarassment potential for the parents.

OMG, thanks for sharing this...my mom and I were just crying reading some of those. She's been on FB for about 2 years and still is completely clueless.

I've got to say, I was on Facebook first! My daughter has friended me and now so have a couple of her friends. I censor more carefully what I post, especially gripes about the ex-husband since she is on there. I do still gripe about her

I have told her not to be surprised if, someday, I make my FB adults only!

I'd like to take this moment to complain about the friend that I have who likes to post super-cryptic messages as her status, but then gets mad when people want to know what they are about. It's like she has secrets that she can't stand keeping secret, so she has to at least let on that she has a secret, but then doesn't want anyone to do the typical follow-up that is done when someone makes a post like that.

I'm super close to hiding her posts. If we're all just supposed to ignore whatever cryptic thing it is that she posted, why do I care if I ever see them in the first place?
