No one can "walk" you through the process of attatining recs, this is something you must do for yourself.
Suggestions of people to contact:
*teachers
*church members
*neighbors
*mom's friends
*dad's friends (they could be married to sorority alumnae)
*college professors
*your local alumnae panhellenic (which can be found here)
Yes it is difficult to find them, but it can be done. Every summer there are thousands of girls in your predicament who manage to find recs for every chapter at their school.
It just takes WORK. You have to really get out there and exhaust all of your contacts. It's not something that's just going to come to you.
And yes, it is ULTRA TACKY to ask women on this site for recs.

If you're talking about my username, you don't have to worry. It's a nickname my Dad gave me when I was a kid. It's a terribly complicated connection to my real name.
