Yes, and they say, in Michigan, it's due to 1) demand going up and 2) requiring a different blend in the summer to meet emissions standards.

this sucks.

I think I'm OK with a max of $2.50/gal, but anything more than that is ludicrous

Yesterday I paid around $2.80ish for regular unleaded

I agree. Although, I would think more than $2.00 is high, if it were locked in (not that this could be done) at $2.50, I wouldn't complain.

I think I paid $2.64 the other day, on Memorial Day, actually and I figured it was high because of the holiday, but I believe it has gone up since then.

ETA: I read that yahoo article too, and thought of GC as I read it!

Dear Fuel companies:

You should offer a deal where we can buy gas at $x.xx per gallon on a decling blanace type card, so we can "lock in" a price and we'd always buy from you and you'd have the money regardless. Say you buy 100 gallons at $2.00 a gallon, you'd have $200 sold and we'd get 100 gallons. Think how you'd promote brand loyalty and help people who want to take road trips, commute, or are moving as they can prepay for fuel and stick to a budget. Colleges and Universities offer this and it has yet to be overly problematic.

If you see this idea and would like to market it, PM me so I don't come and sue you later.

Keep on truckin',

VandalSquirrel

Calm down people, so far, your fill up has changed at most $10 per tank of gas, that's not that huge of a deal.

Heck yeah $10 per fill-up is a big deal....especially when you don't have a job.
