Something to think about: Have you ever seen a happy looking person in those paparazzi photos?

It's like the half a million Brad and Angelina photos of them looking unhappy with capton "Angie is MISERABLE and filing for divorce!!!"

It's like, no US Weekly, she looks miserable because there are like 30 people trying to block her and take her picture.

Hey, I just posted it - made not one comment.

And if the paps were stalking me and MY HUSBAND WHO HAD BEEN PHOTOGRAPHED AT A BAR WITH A YOUNG WOMAN while I was out of town you betcha I wouldn't have a pleasant look. But at an event to promote my book? I'd be smiling. Or at least not looking quite so pissed. I know some stars make a real effort to just grin at the photographers - you don't see their pictures as much, probably because of it. Charm School was right - every girl looks prettier when she smiles.

eta - and I have more sympathy for professional actors, who do not deserve to lose their privacy in their private life just because they make movies, as opposed to those who parade their private lives for personal gain. I think that if you let cameras into your personal life, you have less right to demand for your personal life to be non-public.

Agreed. Why does she always need the back-middle to stick up in that weird way? The color, the cut it all just keeps getting worse and metrosexual looking. I know she wants shorter hair because of her kids, but why not do a short bob or something similar that can just be brushed and pony-tailed or clipped.

usmagazine.com is reporting a breaking news story of jon's affair, complete with pictures and a video of him leaving the mistress' house.

Unfortunately my work blocks any videos online, so I haven't looked at it yet. But I definitely see your point. If it's anything like the video US put up of Leeann Rimes supposedly having an affair, then I don't know how factual it is!

I find that quote hilarious for some reason. I guess US weekly couldn't find a better source than her brother? I didn't know 32 was twice 23, hmmmm.

I don't know if anyone else lives in the Philly metro area, but our local tv and radio networks have picked up this story big time. They seem to be painting Kate in a negative way and Jon as a victim who had to seek out another woman because Kate is so manipulative and nasty.

Lots of stories from people in the Reading area keep coming out that Jon has been out chasing women for a few months, Kate has driven away all the help they had with the kids and their family and friends and that the couple is estranged and they are only together to film the show.

Of course this is all hearsay.

An Us Weekly story about Jon Gosselin's infidelity has TLC fuming.

The questions surrounding “Jon & Kate Plus Eight” patriarch Jon Gosselin do not end with whether he cheated on Kate, as Us Weekly reports on their cover for the second consecutive week. There’s also speculation about the impetus behind the couple’s publicity blitz since Us broke its story.

The couple denied the affair to Entertainment Weekly on May 6, and is scheduled to appear on TODAY May 7; Kate will be on “Larry King Live” later the same day. According to an industry source, the appearances have been arranged by TLC, which broadcasts “Jon & Kate,” in an effort to rebut the cheating claims.

“(TLC was) completely enraged by the story in last week’s Us, and this week they didn’t respond to multiple (comment) requests. Then you see the (alleged) mistress talking to People, and Jon and Kate to EW,” said the source. “If the story wasn’t true, you’d think they would have lawyered up and fought it on Monday before it got out. Now, they’ve flipped out about how to handle this.”

A source from within TLC refutes the claim and says the appearances were booked in advance to promote Kate’s book “Eight Little Faces,” which came out April 19 (the new season of the show doesn’t air until May 25).

“They were booked on shows two months ago via the book publishers, and the Entertainment Weekly feature was in the works,” the source says. “Two weeks ago, EW was planning on doing a ‘behind the scenes with the family piece,’ but obviously now they had to address these (infidelity) questions.”

If you need proof that Jon’s behavior is a big story, reference last week’s Us Weekly, which broke the news of the alleged affair on its cover. It sold more than a million copies, making it one of the most successful issues of the year.

Why is the public so interested?

“You can’t work this kind of reality into a reality show,” says Us Weekly editor in chief Janice Min. “This isn’t Nick and Jessica on ‘Newlyweds,’ this (scandal) actually makes the show more interesting.”

TLC issued this statement on behalf of Jon Gosselin: "These allegations are false and just plain hurtful. As I adjust to the attention that comes from being in the public eye, I need to be more careful and aware of who I am associating with and where I am spending my time. But the bottom line is, I did not cheat on Kate. I am sorry for putting my family in this awkward position, given some poor decisions and bad judgments I've made recently. I am working through this difficult time with my family. My family is my top priority."

Kate also appeared this morning on the Today Show.

Jon's gonna get nailed for so much alimony and child support that he's going to want to stay on his mistress' good side -- otherwise, he won't be able to afford a place to live.

I've watched a couple of episodes, especially after seeing JK8 highlighted on Talk Soup.

I have to speak about this part of the interview:

This show has been on how long? How many places do they visit around the country for speaking engagements? They've been in People, EW, the cover of Good Housekeeping, etc.

All of that, and Kate still wants us to believe that Jon is just now realizing the level of their celebrity status? I call shenanigans.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. Make your money giving people a look into your personal life, and soon your personal life is all public. I'm hoping for the sake of the kids that the show fades slowly into the west - but we'll see.

Rachel went through a lot - she was dating one of the cameramen from RW and they were in a car crash - he was killed. She met Sean I think a year later on a challenge and they got married when she got pregnant (after the whole time she was on the show, making a big deal about saving her virginity for marriage).

She got raked over the coals in every way someone could and I think she finally grew up and realized whatever perks you get aren't worth it.

You know, here's my question: why didn't Kate write the book with Jon, and go on a book tour with him?

It would be nice if this would not just kill J&K+8 the show, but the whole reality genre as well.

Going back to what someone said a little while back about people from Reading knowing that Jon has been out and about with ladies, someone on another board I regularly post on said the same thing.

"As far as whether he's actually having an affair with this other woman, he was caught out in Legends, a Reading bar. My brother and his friends go there all the time, and a few of them were there the night Gosselin and his girlfriend were. They were all over each other. If they're not sleeping together they sure do act like it."

I think Jon wants/wanted to get caught, no question about it. Would he get hit up for alimony though, if the marriage dissolved? Kate's the one that writes the books and goes on the PR tours. Jon, as far as I know, is currently unemployed.

I think the thing that baffles me about this whole mess is the girl's "brother" releasing details to the media about his little sister's sex life (ew, major squickiness there) to "protect her." If my brother ever dreamed of doing something similar, he'd have to seek his own protection pretty damn fast.
