And the journey culminates . . .
Initiation is this weekend!
I've been instructed to wear all white pin attire . . . not having an orientation period like a traditional collegiate initiate, I don't know what to expect at the initation. Any words of wisdom?

A white dress, suit or skirt and blouse suitable for a dressy Spring/Summer event. No pants, no bare shoulders, etc.

Ditto! One of our alumnae always says that to the new initiates before the ceremony. Of course you won't remember everything you hear, but you'll learn more in the future.

Enjoy it and don't expect to remember everything. Every initiation you go to you will learn more... Once initiated remember you are an alum and not a collegiate, act like one. You don't need to go to the parties and every event, go to the "alum" ones like homecoming etc.
Get involved with the alum chapter and the HCB if you have one. Its fun.
All white is pretty self explanatory LOL. Pin attire means something you would wear to church... A white dress, white skirt and shirt etc. I personally don't prefer pants... wear comfy shoes and bring white footie socks...

Some orgs are fairly relaxed on what constitutes "white" and will accept off white, especially in winter when true white is so difficult to find. Does anyone know whether A Chi O expects true white-white?

Nationally, we're not as strict. But the standard could change chapter to chapter. chapter to chapter. Be sure to check with those who you're in contact with in the chapter!
