We are still talking about kicking druggies off of welfare, right?

I wouldn't exactly consider giving junkies money for their next fix saving humanity. But thats just me.

As has been said, oh, I don't know, 7298734923874 other times in this thread before though, not all welfare recipients use/deal drugs, in fact not even most, and those are the people the system was put in place for.

I haven't weighed in on whether or not I think the junkies should be kicked off welfare.

In fact, all I said originally was that this thread has taken me from irrationally angry to incredibly sad.

For all you know, that could be about the price of tea in China.

BTW...this was mentioned this morning:

Number of homeless families increased 15% in DC area in the past year.

PiKA I do agree with you, it would serve you better to aim that comment to madmax since he believes that dumping ALL welfare recipients would be the way to go.

Besides, you know these threads tend to wander.

This is no shock considering the dire straights some families are in now because of the economy. We are going to have more people needing/seeking public assistance than we've seen maybe in our lifetime. Hopefully the public assistance finds itself in the hands of real people in need who need food and shelter for their familiars and not someone looking for their next rock.
