Assuming from your screen name that you are at Florida. That's a very competitive recruitment, and yes, being a sophomore will put you at a disadvantage. No one can say for sure how the sororities weigh high school activities vs. college activities. Each one probably does it very differently. I am NOT NOT NOT at UF, but if I were, I would want a sophomore to bring a lot to the table to make her just as much as or more desirable than freshmen. That means a super-competitive GPA and a killer resume.

I'm not saying that it's impossible, but realistically, you are at some disadvantages. Probably more than "slight." Good recommendation letters for each sorority are a must. If you get them from people who know you well, that will help.
