Now that some months have past and we have gotten to know her we are interested in possibly extending her bid. However, we were told that since we dropped her during formal we aren't allowed to extend her a bid for a year. No one in my chapter has ever heard this rule before and in years past we have dropped girls and pledged them the next semester. For some reason no one seems to have our copy of the green book so that we can look up and verify this rule. So I am asking can any one verify that this is in fact a rule or not. thanks a lot.
Did she accept a bid from another sorority last fall? If she did, she is not eligible to participate in recruitment this spring. Accepting a bid from a group is what's binding for a year...not the fact that she was released by your chapter.

If you don't have a copy of the Green Book handy, ask your Campus Panhellenic.

No she didn't receive a bid from any other chapter. She dropped out recruitment before pref night. Yeah we ask to see the green book and we are just waiting for panhellenic to respond so I decided I would come here and see if I could get quicker feedback. Thanks for your response though.
