I have two friends that are readily accessible to ask for a recommendation letter.

One is a graduate of the law school I am currently waitlisted at and the other is employed at a “Big Law” firm in the same market as the school I’m currently waitlisted at. So which one should I ask?

Also, what exactly should the continued interest letter include? I figured just short and to the point.
I would go with the alumnus/alumna of the law school where you're waitlisted. Recs from alumni, especially good ones (i.e. not cookie-cutter ones) carry a lot more weight generally than recs from non-alumni.

I agree with this.

I think you're right on for the continued interest letter. Something like

"I remain interested in attending X Law and will enroll if accepted. I really like X's program in chasing ambulances. I think I could contribute to X because I am really awesome."

Obviously expand alittle more but short and sweet is fine -- just be sincere and don't say you'll attend if admitted if you don't mean it.

If you're able to visit the school easily that can help too. I know when my alma mater waitlisted people a "good" campus visit could help sway the adcomm.

Agreed - I think if you have a good campus visit, and combine that with a good alum rec...well, there's not a whole lot more you can do at that point, you've given it your best effort.

Also love the ambulance chaser reference. My school's bookstore sells reverse print "Ambulance Chaser" t-shirts.

Does anyone know a good place to find a list of moot court competitions?

Thanks guys! I'm still super excited. Not just about the scholly, but because I think the school is a really good fit for me, and because I feel very confident about the decision. Time will tell, of course, but I think it's going to be a very good thing.
