I seriously need to quit going to class in the afternoons because I am clearly missing out.
I know that over spring and summer is the time when all the NPC sorority PNMs seem to come out of the woodwork on GC asking stupid questions in the recruitment forum like "Will I get a bid if I'm 38 with 2 heads, 4 kids, and I used to be a man?"
I wonder if there's a such thing as "that time of year again" with the NPHC orgs and interested people getting crazy on GC? If there is, then this must be it.

Yep, welcome to the looney bin of those who want to skate rather than do what we recommend...
What I find ironic about all of this is that everyone in all the NPHC is saying similar comments. And if there was actual legal "pledging", these interests would be scared chitless by their "Big Sisters", and other greeks ratting them out... But, I guess, thinking you are anonymous with this kind of media, is keyboard courageousness...

Yup, it is usually right around the time folks get rejected. Then again when the lines come out.

Oh ok. Well it must be one of those times or something because it's like a hole opened up and all the crazy NPHC interest folks crawled out of it (magically thinking that they know more about your orgs and such than you do).

And they whine too as to why they are not extended invitations... If they lay low, chilled with confidence, it would not be that big of a deal...

Definitely. Then, interests/rejects want everyone to cry them a river because they're too busy with class, work, or life to attend the interest meetings, activities related to thrusts, or participate in community service. Whomp whomp... Then, why even humor the thought of joining any organization? I wonder what they think everyone else does...
Anyway, cue the violin music for the sob stories...seems like we'll be here a while.

The thing is, it appears to be just the lazy interests.
I was never on gc asking someone to tell me exactly what I needed to be an AKA. Visit www.aka1908.com (or the national website of your org of interest) much? I read. I attended programs. I was active on campus and in my community. I befriended members by being MYSELF. What's so hard about that? The people asking here are likely to be unprepared anyway. They'll be back this time next year asking the same questions while throwing in a few insults about the chapter that didn't choose them.

Moreover, what gets me more than anything else, is what if these fools somehow get into somebody's chapter and bitch and moan about the level of Sorority work that is required to do!!!
See, this is why I like sloughing off the top, cream of the crop... But that's at an HBCU who can do that, not other institutions, because of that negative vibe these fools are posting here.
