I think I've mentioned my dumbass side of the family. All very sweet, lovable people, they're just blooming idiots.

I wished one a Happy Birthday on his wall. His response? "Are you still in school? You must be on your third doctrine by now."

WHAT. THE. WHAT. First, that doesn't even make any sense.

Second, I finished grad school in 2005. Just the standard 2-year Master of Science, not even an M.Arch or MFA which would take 3 years. I don't know why these people think I'm always in school.

Not as bad as my dumbass cousin's new husband, who posted a photo album called "Us Threw the Years." Why did you throw the years?

I'm sorry, I just laughed out loud at this ^^. It really isn't funny ....except for the fact that it is hilarious.

THIS. Every Sunday when I go to church, people give me big hugs and say, "I'm so glad you're back! When will you be here for good?" And I say, "I've been home since I graduated in December 2009." They are usually pretty red-faced. Especially if we just had the same interchange the Sunday before.

This is going to be complicated by my returning to school next month for a different degree.

Why do we both know people who bastardize "threw/through?" Tragic.

This isn't bad grammar, but it was annoying:

My friends go to college, I go to war. At the same hour they wake up to decide not to go to school or work that day, I've been at work for hours. Their alarms wake them up, my alarms send me to cover. They make plans based on how they feel, I do as the schedule that was put out to me demands. They can't wait to leave their homes, I can't wait to get back. But when we look back on our respective lives, they'll like theirs, I'll be damn proud of mine.. -Repost if your Active duty-

LOL it had bad grammar after all.

Anyway, I thought it was annoying and somewhat self-aggrandizing.

Not to mention I don't know any member of the military who would post that treacle.

Cousins! If it weren't for all the dumb-ass cousins I have on one side of the family, my FB page would have no effery whatsoever.

One cousin (who's just returned from government-sanctioned vacation) was discussing relationships:

D-AC:Why are women so complicated?
Friend: Men are just as complicated.
D-AC: You got me there, toshay.

Toshay=touche. Or maybe someone's name?

And then another cousin (same side) is talking about hunting and listening to Kid Rock. Did Malcolm X die for this effery?

Gods I hate the "Repost this" posts. I just mocked the pledge of allegiance one going around mercilessly for being in all caps and for pulling the "if you don't post this you're not american" or whatever it actually says.

People who post that probably know jack shit about why the "Under God" is in the pledge in the first place and when it was put in there.

My aunt posted one that made me giggle, so I had to repost:

Please copy & paste this to your status if you are constantly being asked to copy & paste something to your status by friends who copy & paste things to their status. Many people won't copy & paste this but my true friends will copy & paste it because you know this was copied & pasted from a dear friend in need of more crap to copy & paste.

I'm a dweeb, I know
