I have this, and I love it, but I definitely love when I go to the salon and they use the CHI on me - my hair is so soft after it's like I never had curly hair to begin with.
I do believe the PHI is made by the same people, and it does the same things for my hair.
When I finally start working I'm definitely going to invest. Fewer passes over my hair = a huge time saver in the morning!

Sigh, I know. It's a good flatiron, but nothing ever works as well as the ones they use in the salon.

Another Chi lover checking in. I don't know what I'd do without it.

I've heard several people say Chi is better, and 1 who said Solia was better. I'm more familiar with the Chi brand, so I think I may choose that one.

I have a Solia flat iron (it's the pink one from Folica) and love it. However, I have super fine hair with some weird waves to it, but not really curly or textured in any way (think limp with a hint of wave). My niece has a TON of corse, curly, thick hair (think amazing hair when styled, but takes forever to style).
We actually did a side-by-side of a Chi and my Solia over Thanksgiving. For her hair, the Chi did a quicker, better job. For mine, I couldn't tell a difference between the two.
Anyway, my 2 cents!
