I don't think Aaron is completely out of the picture - being a b.o.i. has got to have some signficance. (Born on the island, for those not familiar with the term - Houstonians know it in reference to Galveston).
Penny better not be dead.  Although it would provide motivation for Desmond to return to the island - to kill Ben.
