"Mob mentality?" Intimidation? People are disagreeing with you. How is that mob mentality? I don't think anyone is taking it that seriously.
I'm sure you've been in a classroom or work environment where someone makes a statement, and that statement elicits a number of dissenting opinions. Would you classify that as a "mob mentality?"
No one is saying you need to back down from your opinions - what they're saying is, if you're going to include yourself in a debate over the issues, then you have to expect that people may not like or agree with your opinions.

That may be the source of the issue, because it seems like your posts are doing the exact same thing - some of your posts bring the message "if I agree with you, great, if I don't agree with you, then you're not worth the effort."

When I reference mob mentality, I am not just talking about this thread. Don't be daft. It's more than mere disagreement on a point of view. You know that.
I fully expect people not to like my opinions at times. However, as I mentioned, the same group of people finds some way to make absurd, unnecessary comments in response to mine that really are not just intelligent disagreements.
As for the comment about someone not being worth the effort... as usual you have misread my statements. My point about someone not being worth the effort is in response to information about the fact that people directed their sigs at me. Behavior like that ISN'T worth ANY kind of effort because it's stupid. Some members on here accuse ME of not being able to handle a simple disagreement in opinion, but yet they disagree with me about something and change their sigs JUST to make jabs? So yes, apparently someone IS taking something THAT seriously. Based on that it doesn't seem like I'M the one with the problem.

I'm kind of lost for words at this point. I would just note that perhaps I'm not the one being "daft" about all of this.
ETA: I don't know why my post has that little "thumbs down" signal.

Here lies the issue. You expect me to do self-reflection, but you refuse to consider doing the same.
I think we all enjoy a good debate. Goodness knows I like the fact that unlike a certain other board I'm a member of , we can actually discuss politics here. But I would appreciate you giving my opinions the same respect you want me to give yours. When you do that, I think everything will be quite cool.
I would also like to add that watching certain people get snarky on here is funny to me. I think quite a few of those individuals wouldn't have the balls to pop off like that in person.

I think you're confusing me with him - your problems are with me, not with him.

It's still a general "you." It can be applied across the board.

You're right. I want to know who these people are. Although I'm sure she won't say. She seems to pick and choose which posts she will respond to.

Here’s a usual convo with deepimpact
deepimpact: “Blah blah blah blah blah”
mobster: “Yea, but that doesn’t make sense, because blah blah blah”
deepimpact: “Well maybe if you actually read what I said, you would know that I meant blah blah blah”
When in fact, all you have to do is say, “I’m sorry, what I meant to say was blah blah blah.”
Just like you, people react to things that are said. When EVERYONE who reads your posts interpret them the same way, then you might have misspoke. Because honestly, what do you think.. that everyone is PMing each other saying, “Hey, let’s pretend like we didn’t understand what deepimpact said, and let’s get snarky with her over a perfectly normal statement she made.”

Again this goes to that sense of entitlement I mentioned previously. Why should I apologize when it's not MY fault someone misread my post? On the flip side, why can't they say, "well DeepImpact, I'm not really sure I understand what you mean. Could you clarify the point you are trying to illustrate?" Why does it have to be, "what you are saying doesn't make sense. You're so stupid. What you said was so stupid. Oh these 1L's. blah blah blah."
And no I don't think people are pming each other. I think they just repeat what they see others saying instead of having independent thoughts. And some people deliberately misinterpret what I say. The fact that it was stated that I turned people off from my first thread indicates a certain prejudice towards anything I say.
With respect to your comment about me picking and choosing which posts I respond to, don't we all? None of respond to EVERY single post in a thread.

1.) How can someone ask for clarification when they don't know that they're misinterpreting a post?
2.) No one says, "What you are saying doesn't make sense." And no one has called you stupid, so don't even go there. Poeple simply react to what you say. You then get mad and drag things out, instead of simply saying, “I’m sorry, what I meant was...” Other people here do it, why can't you?
3.) You're now saying that we don't have independent thoughts, and everyone here just copies everyone else? I think you should have just admitted to believing that everyone is PMing each other.
4.) I just find it interesting that you choose to ignore the posts that you do.
