As Senusret says it shows on up on the APO National website as an Interest Group. ( http://www.apo.org/show/How_to_Start...r/Chapter_List , you can do your own search if you want)
When I look for Alpha Phi Omega at ucsc.edu on google, I get a number of hits, *most* of which are from a staffer who was there *years* ago (Brother Rodden), excluding those, I get one hit at http://people.ucsc.edu/~avanever/ which talks about involvement in the Alpha Phi Omega interest group being an activity.
Also the Section 4 (Northern California) Blog has a posting from Ajay Sharman, the section chair (head alumni volunteer for Northern CA) at http://www.aposection4.org/profiles/...:BlogPost:2161 where he talks about the group at UCSC (Alpha Gamma Nu) getting started on rechartering (posted July 2008). Try sending to section.4.chair@apo.org to contact him, if that doesn't work let me know and I'll get one that doesn't go through a redirection. The other option would be to contact the member of the National Board over Ajay at region.10.director@apo.org or contacting the director of chapter services at the Alpha Phi Omega national office at judy.mitchell@apo.org or 1-816-373-8667 extension 13.
Let me know how else I can help.
Sincerely

Yeah UCSC's website is hopeless for Greeks. When I search for my own org, I only find rooms we've reserved and the fact that we're registered with the school.
A friend of mine was a brother at another school, so she's super involved and excited with this interest group. Yay!

No problem. I probably use that search page about once a week.
Some schools are better than others. I've seen schools where each student group was given their own webarea and others where if you are lucky you can find it in an on-line version of the school catalog.
Cool on your friend. Do you have a feeling for what the reaction of the Social Greeks at UCSC is to be toward Alpha Phi Omega?
As for help in the area, UCSC is in Section 4, the active chapters there are at Cal State -Fresno, Cal State-Sacramento, Cal State-East Bay, SFState, San Jose State, Stanford, Cal-Berkeley, Cal-Davis, USF and U of the Pacific.
And my statement before should have been "let *us* know how *we* can be of help"...

Hi everyone, while doing a vanity search on google, I stumbled upon this post (i am the owner of the "avanever" site), and would like to extend my support to anyone who has any questions! =D I will probably direct this thread to my VP of Public Relations. But yeah, nice to see we've hit recognition on a larger scale now, and I hope too meet you all. Good luck to CSUF on chartering!

Cool. Vanity searches. What position do you hold in the UCSC extension effort?
