The sorority pretty much gives me all that I'm looking for in terms of sisterhood, plus I have two biological sisters and a number of close girlfriends, so for me, it would not be a priority to join another org that also requires my time and money. So for me, the conflict would be time. My great aunt has been a member of OES for probably 30 years and I am hoping that one of her daughters joins because I would like for my family to carry it on (esp since she is so active in her state hierarchy?) b/c it can't be me. A sister gets tired just thinking of all that. Shoot, I like to come home and sit on my behind sometimes! And just look. LOL.

lol. Soror, I wrote that way back when I was an interest and it's so funny cuz at that time I thought that after I became an AKA I would want to pursue this also. But um no thanks. I feel just like you. The time and financial commitment to AKA is more than enough. I'll be 4 years old in April

and I'm honestly only concerned with getting more active in my chapter and really doing more service. I can't fathom committing myself to another organization on that level.....at least not for now.
