It's not that he's corrupt per se, it's just that he's so funny while he's doing it.
The transcript between Rahm Emanuel and Blago is to die for. Basically, it's just the F-word. Emanuel ends the conversation with, "have a nice life, fatso!"

There is something that gets me. When the charges of abuse of power were released,didn't it occur to him that the phones were tapped?

Blago has been impeached
The first governor in 20 years to have been impeached...also Illinois Senate has banned him from ever holding public office again.
