If you listen to the whole verse not just that one line then I think the context can help explain it. In my opinion the white lies line refers to Bush and the war in Iraq not all white people.

Seeing the whole thing, it looks more like "white lies" means like "little white lies", however could be a double entundra (so spelled that wrong, but you get it).

You're really going to ride someone's spelling? In the same post as "ur"? OK.

Also - it's clearly intended to be read as both "[little] white lies" and "lies from whites" and I can't imagine that's disputable. I don't think that is a particularly 'racist' thought - after all, a black guy thinking whites have lied to him isn't exactly ground-breaking, and is probably (from a perception standpoint) fairly true, even though a massive number of those lies have come from his side of the political aisle.

I know what he meant...and yes, I agree, it's nothing new. The metaphoric wordplay has been around since before Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five....explain it to ur boy phigam, the original poster, who seems to be taken aback by 'racially charged' rap lyrics.

Um, you're not the only person who can read the post- it was intended for, y'know, everyone. Also I'm pretty sure my "explanation" contradicts at least one of your earlier posts (in inference at the least) so you really need to be sure that you're agreeing with me here.

The rest of the verse is fine but that one line is mean, divisive and offensive. Imagine the societal backlash that would occur if Alan Jackson sang about "black lies" when referring to Obama.
PM Mama: There is NO WAY that he was referring to "white lies" as in small lies that are OK if something good comes out of it in the end.
