I agree with the sentiment of your post. I think, at least in part, this election represented some maturation for the nation's electorate.

Regarding the Bush reaction, perhaps silence or indifference, rather than booing might have been a better course of action -- but that's America, it's a big, brawling, messy country and people for the most part, have the right of free expression. ...the Republic won't crumble over it.

I missed the booing but I defintely heard people singing " na, na, na, na, hey, hey, hey ..goodbye". I agree that wasn't the time or the place.

Great pictures. What kind of camera do you have?
I really envy you for being there. Did you see Cheney? I have a very hard time believing that he hurt his back moving a box. I know for a fact that he and his family and others in their positions do not have to lift a finger, much less a box. I am sooo glad he is gone.

I agree. I find it really hard to believe that the White House personnel would have him moving ANYTHING (even if he insisted). I wonder what actually happened.
