according to the link, Bristol is due Saturday...question is....is the wedding still on....?
Hmmm...
Barack Obama was accused of "palling around with terrorists" a claim never substantiated.
Sarah Palin's family can be accused of "palling around with druggies".
...wow.

What is the lesson? Is the lesson that Obama should have been arrested or is the boyfriend's mother now qualified to be President?

FWIW - I thought the Obama/Ayers thing was really not an issue. Given the circumstances of their association, I didn't see it as a problem. However, the fact is that Obama chose to work with Ayers. I don't know that Sarah Palin chose this family for Bristol - I have a feeling if she had her druthers the whole family would have no association with her whatsoever.
I also thought any past drug use by Obama (or Bush, come to that) is also not a problem - everyone makes mistakes, and what matters most is what you learn from them.
I don't think whatever her daughter's in-law's legal problems (and she is innocent until proven guilty, btw) are really reflect on Sarah Palin. Now, if Obama were to want to appoint Ayers to an important position, or if Palin tried to get a job for the in-law, then it would be a problem. I know I wouldn't want to be judged by some of my in-laws!

Agreed.
By daughter in law I think she meant, her Palin's daughter's possible in laws.
And while I know the tread has gone over this, but I don't see how this has to do with Sarah Palin. It wasn't as if Palin chose her daughter's boyfriend. In fact, I doubt she had much input in the matter.

See - "daughter's" possesive, "in-law's " possesive.
The in-law belonging to the daughter.

Actually in the political world, that kind of thing does reflect...whether it should or not. It really doesn't matter if they are trying to bring the in-law or offending party into the administration in a meaningful way. I think the general attitude is that politicians are guilty by association.

Yea I agree that the general attitude is 'guilty by association'.

I can't find anything that will say what drugs she is accused of dealing with.
And I agree that I had the same feeling that the 'wedding' was purely a PR move.
'Yea, my daughter is preggers, but she's gonna marry him, so that makes it OK!"
