Not even...it's a perfectly acceptable question to ask.
And given to how most of the country (the rest of the world, really) feels about all that's been going on for the past years since this war has started, it's an acceptable opinion to have in asking that question.
It's almost akin to a conquering general taking one last look at a vanquished neighbor that he is leaving worse off than he did when he started.
Seriously think about it.
Me personally, there is really no good reason that I can think of that he needs to be there at this point in time.

That is an unsubstantiated interpretation of it.
This is why theorizing about why Bush went to Iraq is a separate issue.

Now mid you, this was a secret visit also. If this incident had never happened, we would have never known that Bush was there.
Something else to think about.

Correct, supposedly, the First Lady is one of the relative few who knew.
He quietly left the White House in the evening while his guests were off to bed. The guests were to awake to the surprise that the man they were doing the Electric Slide with the night before is now in Iraq on a final visit. Instead, they awoke to the surprise that he was in Iraq and had a shoe thrown at him.

The secrecy was likely a security measure because as you have continually noted, he was entering a "war zone". And so the roomful of reporters were all sworn to secrecy, you think? Not one news story would have come out about his farewell visit after he was safely out of country?

HOLY CRAP, DS. Do you really not know the answer to this question or are you just being obtuse and obstinate because things are slow at work before the holidays and you have nothing better to do??
Bush is out of office in about 45 days. We've been engaged in Iraq for about 7 years. Every reference to his trip is that it was his "FAREWELL VISIT". Is there really something unclear about that to you?

I was being rhetorical nittany.
I already answered the question
