My very artistic niece is getting a book publishing kit- she can write her own story and illustrate it and then send it away. 4 weeks later, her book arrives bound and published. They will even correct spelling mistakes or leave them the way the child wrote it (depending on what you want).

My nephews are getting board games

my husband and I are getting each other a computer desk. Oh so romantic I know.

My 6 yr old is getting bakugan that I found this summer on sale, the 3 r old is getting some legos. the 1 yr old is getting toys that the 6 & 3 yr old have forgotten about and have been in the garage for the past 2 yrs. I am washing them, boxing them, and wrapping them. He will never know! Oh and all three are getting new matching pjs to wear to bed christmas eve.

Dad: home made cheesecake and pizza
Mother: breathing roll (yoga thing) and clothes
Brother: sweatshirt and something else that I'm not sure of yet
Boyfriend: new cell phone, and a date. He just had his birthday so probably not much else.

Genius.

As for me:

My mom: Coach gift card
Cousin: Coach gloves (they were on sale at the Outlet for $20)
Nephew: He's just 12 months old, so I got him some cute Sesame Street tub toys

I always get tub toys for friends with kids - they're always a hit because they don't make noise, and since they get left in the basket by the tub they don't get dragged all over the house to be stepped on.

Plus I think a lot of people forget about them for whatever reason. Anyone who I've gotten them for said that no one else has thought of it.

I was about to give up, but I remembered a gaming/hobby store near my old office and decided to check out their website. I paid about $50 more than the MSRP, but I was fine with that because all the other stores are completely sold out. This store orders from all over, even from Canada, and that's why they're slightly higher, but I know it'll all be worth it come Christmas morning when I see his face as he opens it.

Good deal alert:
Target-$12.50 for the 25th anniversary premie Cabbage Patch Doll
Toys R Us-$20 for a 1 GB MP3 player slightly larger than a shuffle (250 songs with shuffle, normal and repeat mode) Actually, they had a lot of electronics marked down.

I love bargain shopping. This is probably tmi... *LOL*

Mom-- Vera Bradley bag I found at Marshall's with the matching travel wallet. We're both crazy about the travel wallet and are super sad it's not being made any more. It's in Hope Toille, which I think is really springy! I paid under $50 for the set. A nautica shirt, homemade beaded necklace, bracelet, and anklet (I'm just learning but it looks pretty good...) and an angel orament.

Hubby-- 2 dress shirts, 4 new ties, a new nautica swimsuit, and socks. He's pretty easy, and since he wears ties every day, you can never have too many. Paid a total of $100 for everything. The ties were regularlly $32 a piece. *lol* All name brand stuff.

Dad-- Golf shirts and golf odds and ins. He LIVES for golf, so it works. And thanks to outlet malls and the JC Penny Outlet in Atlanta-- I don't think I paid over $4 for a golf shirt. Muahahahahha

My Nana, Mother-in-law, and best friend-- More Vera bags. I found the backsack in petal pink for under $25 at Marshalls. My Nana will love it, because she loves to travel, Mother-in-Law is a master gardner, so it fits! And my best friend wants a Vera desperately but can't afford it....so they should be happy! We also got Mother-in-Law a bird book that plays sounds. She's a huge bird watcher, and the book orginally was over 50 bucks. (I got it for under 10! *LMAO*)

Hubby's grandma-- is 90 and lives in Michigan, where she gets shut in all winter, so we send her a nice gift of fresh Florida oranges each year.

My Father-in-Law-- A couple of Hawaiian shirts, and a sodoku calendar.

Brother-in-Law and wife-- candle set and a nice ornament (he and my hubby aren't close at all.)

God children-- I don't remember! I bought it all so long ago. I remember books, puzzles, dolls... *lol* I have 4 God daughters, so it's a lot to keep up with.

Neighbors-- I made homemade cocoa mix, put it in pretty jars, added a star ornament I found at Cracker barrel for 50 cents. Then I made homemade dog treats and put it in all in a brown paper gift bag that we hand painted, put on pretty ribbons and added a couple of candy canes. We did that for families in our neighborhood that we really like (and have dogs.)

We also used brown craft paper to wrap, and handpainted the names and a little holly and berries on each gift, and added really pretty gold and red ribbons that we hand tie. It's a lot of work, but I end up doing that each year. Hubby says next year we're buying Disney paper and self stick bows and tags. *LOL*

That sounds adorable. I love the wrapping on some gifts more than the present itself!

My daughter told me last night that she doesn't want the cell phone she's been ogling all this time after all! They are coming out with an upgraded one that she thinks she will want more, next year. So, in addition to the several books, make up mirror and frame I already got her, I just ordered a Dooney and Bourke tote from Dillards. She admired it before but I acted aghast at the price. She is going to be SO surprised!!!!!!!! It's much more fun to get someone something like that when they didn't ask for it than to buy the ONE thing that they MUST have or else they'll totally freak out. Way more fun The photo frame I bought her is a black diamond shaped frame that holds 9 different 4 x 6 pics. I printed several of the city scenes she took pictures of in Europe and filled the frame with them. She loves black and white city shots and always wants to buy them when we're at street fairs so I think she'll really like this. I'm wondering how long it will take her to realize that the pics in it are actually pics she took and not the samples that come with the frame..lol. Yep, it will be a fun Christmas and she will be very surprised because she's not expecting several of her gifts but I know she'll love them!

I still have about $50 to spend on her so I think I'll just get her a Border's Gift Card for the rest or put money on her VisaBuxx card.

My Big Sis loves Vera Bradley, and her favorite pattern is Peacock. It's retiring, and she was talking about how she wishes she could get more of it before it goes away. So I'm getting her the Cool Keeper for work.

My Little Sis also loves Vera, so I want to get her a wristlet in her favorite pattern (Java Blue).

I don't love love love Vera (except for the Cafe Latte), but my fam loves it, so I'm happy to buy it for them.

Fiance - Dress shirts and some ankle length socks because I can't stand the long ones that he has.

Mom - A replica of the necklace that my friend's mom made and gave to Sarah Palin...my mom fell in love with it after seeing Palin wearing it on national tv lately and obviously I got a stellar deal from the friend's mom. Also, some fuzzy socks and a shirt from Banana Republic.

Dad - A Borders gift certificate, a Notre Dame t-shirt and sweatshirt, and an "Indiana Dad" keychain.

Grandma - Some fuzzy socks.

Grandpa - An oversized fleece blanket in his favorite color.

My grandma loves crosswords and word-finds, so I'm getting her 3 huge books of them.
