That's how I felt about my "dead weight." We'd been together on and off for 8 years, and there were certain things I wasn't willing to tolerate, so I broke it off so I could shed the dead weight. I still love him and everything, but I had to do what I had to do!!!!!!
I must admit that even though I miss him, I also feel that some dead weight has been lifted, and I am a little relieved.
