Ask your doctor about Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction. I had had my GB out and ended up with this condition. Basically there is a buildup of pressure on either or both of the ducts from the pancreas and liver. The procedure is done endoscopically (through the mouth) and the surgeon measures the valve pressure and would make an incision on either side, to release the pressure.
Also ask about Pancreatitis. I also ended up with this in addition to SOD.
