yeah that's pretty awful... no matter how much you dislike your parents especially in your younger years it shouldn't lead to something of that magnitude..but also one should ask why wasn't the gun locked away or put somewhere that isn't accessible to an 8 year old.. but since none of the details about the confession are being released i guess it's not right to speculate
