What is going on with Izzy? For a dead character, Denny shows up a lot.

This Denny storyline is supoosed to be HUGE!!! I'm interested to see where this is going. Same thing with the diaries. I think that's going to be the big Mer/Der storyline this year. Everyone on the fan boards is pitching a fit over no Mer/Der time and lack of sex scenes with them. I think this diary thing is going to be the thing they conquer together.

And the old couple made me cry.

Totally agree! I thought the old couple's scene was very touching. And I still have a soft spot in my heart for the Denny/Izzie storyline. (I love that actor's eyes and voice!)
When there is too much Meredith angst, I get very irritated and was a little irked by the whole "drop your pants" thing last week with Callie and Hahn.
So glad this season is a good one.

I'm sick of the Izzy high-morality/ethics crap. Her character irritates the shit out of me. I really wish they'd off her or something.

The old couple made me cry too, which was great for the boyfriend who sat there going "it's a TV SHOW!!!"
The patient thing and respecting them was an awesome storyline, but somehow my interest wasn't being kept.

I know a lot of people were outraged to hear that Brooke Smith was fired and the alleged reason why...but I think it was the perfect exit for her character. She was always an unlikable ice queen, and putting her in a situation in which she was going to ruin the reputation of the hospital and jeopardize the transplant program was very smart. The storyline brought back Denny, who the audience loves, and used the history of the show. I am very curious as to how it will play out in the next few episodes. I'm guessing Hahn will pull a "Burke-like" disappearing act.

I totally agree with you, I think this last episode was VERY well written and it really made me hate Erica because I love Izzie (I know some people don't though). I am so happy that Denny was back! My boyfriend can't stand him but I really hope they keep him around!

Well, he is dead, so it will be hard to keep him around, and I understand this episode with his flashback etc... but the Denny storyline is soooo dead now, I will be mad if it lasts longer then next thursday!!!
What is Erica's deal? Really? They make her this extreme emotional nutbag, one second she is crying over and orgasm, the next she is on the war path... Maybe there is some inoperable tumor in her brain causing her to be uber angry?

Anyone else noticed that Izzy becomes a different character when she dates someone? With Denny, she was full of witty comebacks and really vulnerable, then with George she was a dumb blonde, now with Alex she's trying so hard to be the "I don't care if you screw other women" girl. I hope with the Denny storyline she brings back a little of that Izzy.
I loved the Mark and Christina storyline this week!! I'm a big fan of hers and hope the new doctor brings real love, not this "two seconds of sexual tension, then intense kiss, then we're together" pattern we've been watching all season.

I am soooo happy Hahn is bye bye.....I have always hated her character!!!
I don't believe for a second that ABC would fire someone for a homosexual storyline. They had some of the first homosexual story lines on network TV. Most gay or lesbian story lines do not gross me out...but the Hahn/Callie one did!!!

So, I've heard the rumor is that Izzy has a brain tumor and she's going to be killed off...anyone else hear that? Any truth to the story?

The brain tumor might explain her hallucinations about Denny. I did hear that this may be Katherine Heigel's last season, and that she wasn't thrilled about the material they have been giving her last season or this season.

Really? That would make sense.
I understand the whole "I'm seeing Denny and I don't know why" thing, but she touches him, and next week appears to have sex with him? It's becoming a little weird.

Not according to Shonda Rhimes. (And please let her not be leaving -- she's the main reason for a husband to enjoy watching with his wife. )
Anyone else finding the new ER doctor off-putting? My wife thinks he's way too intense.
And any thoughts on Dr. Dixon last night? My wife and I called the Asperger's as soon as she started talking -- of course, we do have an advantage recognizing the symptoms.

Yea, Mr. "I think this is my ER" has got to go. He's making me mad. And what was up with that kiss last night with Christina? She walked away looking .. upset?
And I thought the whole Dr. Dixon thing was kind of interesting.
But what happened to "Death" who decided to slice her shoulder open so the interns could stitch her up? That happened, then where'd she go? Did I miss something?
