This is the second article I've read about this tragedy and both mentioned how neighbors said they'd heard gunshots that morning or earlier in the day -- why didn't they call the police???!??!?!!!!?

What a horrible, terrible crime. I hope that little boy is ok, I can't imagine what his mother and Jennifer are going through right now.

Some people just don't want to get involved for whatever reason. When my friend's house was broken into (and they took practically everything, including a car) the neighbors saw everything. But none spoke up.

It also seems as though they might be in an area with a higher crime rate, so maybe gunshots isn't that unusual???
