like a scavenger hunt? no because that would be called hazing ( i know because we wanted to make our new members do a fun scavenger hunt this year but found out it was considered hazing (as are a lot of things like driving them around in cars))

but new members do go to new member meetings and learn about their chapter and bond with their pledge class

That's movies. Greek Life in movies is different from how it is in real life.

For example, in a Lifetime movie, a pledge falls to her death after trying to hang this banner on a tower. You most likely aren't going to be asked to risk your life, because well, that's a movie.

You will have some responsibilities as a new member, like you'll have to attend alot of meetings and such, but nothing like anything that is in a movie/TV show.
