She doesn't need to go to jail. She needs to be in a psychiatric institution dealing with her severe issues. What's going to happen with the child when he grows up and people know what his mother did? My heart hurts.

I don't know the facts of the case well enough (nor do you) to decide whether she would meet the definition of legal insanity. As a society, we would almost hope she would be legally insane. You should know that the bar for legal insanity in most states is very very high.

Since she had the presence of mind to photograph the incident, then transmit it to a friend as a "joke," I'm going to be very skeptical that she could meet any definition I've ever heard. That's an assumption on my part, but I think, a pretty safe one.

As far as the child goes, if the situation was completely in my hands, I'd see to it that the child was adopted out of this family completely and into a new family which had no inkling that this child was fellated by its biological mother at the age of two.

I think she needs to go to jail AND deal with her psychiatric problems (and then she needs to meet a shank ). It's doubtful she would meet the requirements for legal insanity, but that doesn't mean that her mental problems aren't severe and don't require treatment. Obviously, they are, or she wouldn't have done what she did.
